So i finished Prep, and it was good (at least not nauseating)until senior year (the book is divided in to Lee's years of high school) She becomes...involved with a complete jack-ass. He comes into her room and...well i won't poison you're minds with the explicitness. needless to say this was not what i had expected from this book. I feel so weird. and not in a good way. i dont think i would have minded as much if he knew her, if he loved her back and cared about her. But he didnt, she was just another notch on the bedpost. And it made me realize two things, 1. the scenes in twilight are like a Disney movie compared to this, 2. i appreciate Edward much more now, that he cares

Prep, summer reading and my cross country scooter trip

I satayed up until 12:30 am reading prep last night, its not that the book is action packed but it is addictive. The book is about Lee Fiora who goes to a prestigious bording school called Ault. Its not exactly what i expected it to be "shy girl is bullyied and homesick while hot guy is looking at other girl" Curtis Sittenfeld captures adolescence, the awkwardness, being on the fringe of things and watching other people be happy. I am really enjoying it and it is part of my personal summer reading list...

Summer

This post comes to you in four parts (can you tell that i have been watching b2.0 all day?)
1. I have noticed that it dosent really feel like summer, even after burning homework and sleeping until 12:30pm i find myself bored. The good thing about school is that you see your friends everyday and spend more time together, but during the summer you sort of just sit there alone and wish that someone your age lived near you. My sister's friends are around everyday and they go off to get their nails done and go swimming. And i cant walk across town to all of you're houses and then be like "so... yeah can we hang out?" that is why i kind of dont adore summer as much as i used to.

2. the moaning myrtle's new album is coming out soon and i cant wait. I i may have already memorized the two songs that are on their myspace. I love "transparent" because it expresses how the fandom has changed me, given me more confidence and pride in who i am "because of wizard rock i dont feel transparent anymore" Even though i am alone at my computer when i listening to videos, podcasts and music or read hp news i know that i am not alone and that sounds really corny but i guess you have to be me to understand.

4. do you notice how if you around someone enough you pick up their mannerisms, like laura saying "gah!!" or you are listening to the same bands as ritti and becoming more upbeat after being around cindy. i also enjoy this question things and i think that if we all did it, it would be awesome (thats what she said) so... murie what is you're favorite microscopic organism and why?

Exhaustion,Victoria's secret

So i am so exhausted after Megahaha's b-day party which was fun and very sexy, we stayed up for...a long time and then laura and Julia's chatter awoke me at the frikin' early hour of 6:00 Laura, this blog is inspired by you. So after we awoke, played bears and were insane we went to the mall. Nina insisted on going to Victoria's secret which is an underwear store. We tried to discourage her but allas, we went into the store, the models were striking poses and dressed like hookers. Megahana and i were collectively self aware. I also purchased amazing flip-flops from payless

Redicliously hungry

Tonight at dinner i ate as much (ORGANIC FARMER WHO KILLS HUMANELY) steak as i could, as fast as i could without choking to death. You see, i did not eat lunch today,so suddenly as i sat down at dinner i wanted to consume an entire cow by myself. I got very close to my goal! Shopping with the Wilders

Oh good god. My mother is insane. insane. as in like INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is constantly complaining about her job to the point that during dinner we all eat quietly while she talks, i want to scream at her sometimes, no i want to scream at her all the time. So every time we go shopping my mother gets the exact same things, let me count vat she purchased...
7 boxes of zataran's mixes (red beans and rice, jamablia, wild rice)
4 jugs of juice that i refuse to drink
3 cartons of yogurt i shall never eat
1 package of oreos that will be gone within 48 hours
3 boxes of macaroni and cheese

Cupcakes (IN YOUR PANTS!!!!)

Yesterday after school endedi got on murie, ritti and peachy's bus (my mom had no idea) Ritti raped me, the bus driver was posibly preggers and i kicked jack with my nerdfighter shoes. When murie and i got off the bus we made cupcakes! Of course this resuted in much mess, sillyness and dispproval form the adults. We then found a recipe for buttercream frosting that required 8 cups of sugar. needless to say we cut the recipe in half. Hard choices (part 1)

This week had been a week or hard choices. Not for me neccisarily but i have been thinking ablotu them. What do you do when you are confronted with a decision where either way you lose. I have been watching 24 lately and in the show a deadly virus has been realeaced in a hotel. The long and short of it is that all the people in this hotel will die a very painful death. And once you'r nose starts to bleed (a sign you have the virus) what do you do? How would if feel to know that you are going to die and there is nothing you can do about it, you cant even call your family's because the situation is a secret? So CTU ( counter terrorism unit) offers people suicide pills if they dont want to die a long painful death, and when they make the option avaible to people, you hear screams, the sounds of humans losing hope. An old woman steps forward and takes a pill soon more and more people come up. And i start to think as i watch this 'what would i do?' the idea of swallowing a pill and knowing that you are going to die, could i bring myself to do that? And even though i know all of this is fictional it made me think: if i knew i was going to die and i knew that i could either be in pain for my last hours or take a pill and feel as if i am falling asleep which would i choose?

The Magic of blogging

As i added Peachy's blog to my blog list, i notice how much our little blog family has grown. I will go so far at to say that i dotn hate not having a facebook as much as i used to. Why? Essentially all of my friends have blogs so i can communicate with them, comment on their posts and when my mom hears the word "facebook" she thinks of a large mob of 40 year old creeps who want to rape moi, And when she hears "blog" she thinks "aww how innocent" yeah, obviously she has not read any of my friend's blogs. So anyway, i was the first to get a blog, my first one was called "penny lane" which i started on may 29 in 2007, my first blog was very detailed and moving "i have to go........more on me/my life later" I started this one...idk when but yeah, then it was just murie and i but on May 31 Laura created her blog, following on June 4th Ritti joined, Peachy and My Grandfather who dosent love me joined on the same day (june 12th). I really like this whole blogging thing, i feel more connected to all of you and i really like to be able to look back on what i was thinking about on one given day. SO EVERYONE HERE IS MY QUESTION: WHY DO YOU ENJOY BLOGGING?

What have i got myself into? There are people moving in on my street and they have a son who is the 7th grade. So naturally my family assumes that i am madly in love with someone i have met for like 1.2 seconds. This was like a month ago and so today i am outside on the swing and this kid's mom and sister who are quite nice are taliking tome and i mention that my family is teasing me about ALLEGEDLY liking their son/brother and i thought i made it clear that i don't like him but i don't think they got it by teir "he is a good gy he never gets into trouble" oh god. Accio Bodyguard

Wow. Just wow. Last night I went to Accio Bodyguard's summer tour. The band is Lauren from the moaning myrtles and Rochester's own Lena of the butter beer experience. It was amazing! I watch Lauren's video blogs and totally admire her. Lena is an amzing singer, she could have her own record deal. In fact as i type this i am listening to "accio bodyguard" and chair-moshing. Our grade is quite sadistic, but not as sadistic as the inquisitorial squad (the discipline committee) We are reguraly chided on manners and how loud and rude we are. Today after a speech on how good we are being two boys come up for a "respectful announcement" if you have read murie and laura's blogs then you know who sexy mitch is and so i wont bother to explain. So they say "happy birthday sexy mitch" everyone laughs and claps and ms. msam is all like "that was inappropriate" but we keep on cheering and laughing. Washinton part 1

I think it is time i talk about the wonder that is washington DC since everyone else has and i feel left out :...( The night that we left i didnt know what to do with myself, it is very rare that the hilight of my day is at 10:30 o'clock, so there was lots of checking and re-checking all my baggage,restlesly wasting time on the internet and being genrly squirlly (as my dear father would say who i hope doesnt read this because i would be grounded and grilled into alice-burgers) ANYWAY we drove throught the thick rain and ran into tcms which o'course was a total zoo. I got through check in and made my way into the clostraphobia inducing gym. The LAMA hung out, sat on eachother's bags and were (not shockingly) hyper and perverted. We got on our bus (#1) a half an hour later then scheduled. Ritti and i sat together near laura, moo, kat, cindy, mohini,andrew (EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!),jack, zach and strawhair. exhaustion induced chatting comence. Jack fell asleep right away so naturally Ritti drew on his face with the ever ready eyeliner. We were awoken at 2 frekin' o'clock in the morning to go to the bathroom. As we shivered in line for the bathroom Ritti informed me that in the night i had taken her blanket and when she had taken it back i threw an fit. I remember none of this but i do know i awoke with 2 blankets so.... We waited in line for the ladies tinkledinckle HA HA room but when informed that the toilets would no longer flush (ewww) we ran into the little boys room. I ured Carlotta to pee like the wind, it was uber gross but less gross than me peeing my pants. PART 2...waking up, changing in the microspic bathroom and anything else i can remember of the first full day.

People can be so gross. last night i was walking my dog Stella and noticed tons of trash by the catholic school. EWW. i ended up collecting it all and throwing it out. Stella got very interested in McDonald's bag and i have "mr.d"'s phone number apparently someone wants him to fax their homework. My school counselors gave me an anorexia talk when anyone who knows me knows that i eat (a lot!) Apparently everyone in the world thinks i have food issues (my aunt gave me the bulimia talk...don't even get me started on that!) In fact i just ate a brownie and a grilled cheese. news flash:some people are naturally skinny! *gasps in shock*

Today i walked home from school. Most of the snow has melted away and it was so beautiful. little birds were nestled in the bushes. I walked past our local catholic school and the kids were at recess. The adults paced around like prison guards,all the little boys were running around and being crazy (as boys that age should be) some girls in blue pleated skirts were hanging over the fence looking at me as i passed by. i wonder what they were they thinking. I imagine that i was a bad influence, walking down the street listing to Ben Folds as he cursed in my ears. I went to this school when i was really little and i when i saw some girls drawing in the chalky dirt reminded me of myself. ahh those were the days. making a town out of clay and dressing up as a diamond princess for Halloween. Back then the biggest problem in life was that my sister stole my Barbie's dress. As i look at these children i wonder who they are, who they will become.

The public market

Hey ladies! this morning i went to the public market! I love going their are so many different kinds of people and so many different stands. Places that sell candles and incense,jewelry, vegetables, flowers, cheap snacks and beautiful clothing. I went there with two things in mind: Jewelry and Insese. I found this bizzar little stand which had incense, different kinds of soaps and candles but also tons of knives. Like a TON, there must have been at least 40 different knives as long as my for-arm. I was a little uncomfortable going in but i ended up getting a really great deal! 12 sticks of insence for one dollar, so i am now the proud owner of 11 sticks of insence (i just burned one). We also wandered into this realy cute clothing store, there was tones of cool boheman dresses and blouses none of witch fit me (or so i thought) I fond this ah-mazing dress. it is white and aqya, the top part is aqua with little wite buttons, there is a little lace before the skirt. The skirt is white with little blue flowers and i L-O-V-E it. Alas i did not buy any jewerly but we did taste genuine olive oil at the cheese store and i had my first empanada. I have been to jose and maria's empanada stop before but i usualy get just beans and rice. Tonight my mother is hosting a dinner party w/ peeps from my church who went on one of her katrina trips so tonight should be a n ah-mazing time (note my sarcasam) So Ritti, chear me up by answering my queston: If you could eat dinner with one person living or dead who would you eat with, what would you eat, what would you talk about and WHY??

The first meeting was insticated by yours truley. we went to the little to see JUNO *woot* and then chillaxed at spot coffee. We swore alot and were preverted *giggle* I suggested we meet once a month and so LAMA was born. Lama is laura,amrita,murie,and alice, It was murie who suggested the name LAMA and every moth since we have met and watche a movie. Last night it was hot. so hot that i couldnt sleep. so i picked up Gone With the Wind and began to read. I was around 780 pages in at the time so i read around 150 pages that night. I finished the book (in tears) at 12:28 am as thunder and lighting fought in the backround. Here is one of my top 10 lists...
Top Ten Characters fav characters
1. Rhett Butler- cynicle, snarky, mysterious and tragic
2. Scarlett O'Herra- although some kneighsaysers *cough* laura *cough* might find her annoying think she is inspiring. She started her own succesful buisness, raised three children, was married and cause scandels all at the same time.
3. Melinie- Melly is so sweet, she never stops beiliving in scarlett and defends her no matter what, Melly is a loyal wife and good mother.
4. Gerald o'herra- he reminds me of my grandfather, a pround southerner, a stubborn man, with a short temper and a mischeious personality
5. Wade- he is such a sweet child and i pity him. imagine living with 3 diffrent fathers as your mother dosent give a crap about you!

Feelin' hot hot hot

Its hot out, if you haven't noticed which you probably did if you have turned on the tv or opened the newspaper or walked outside or talked to anyone. I was planning of sitting up in the tree house, writing and studying for finals but i don't think i could do so without shriveling up in the heat like my homework in fire. It is simply too hot to work. Hey could this be studying for engish? I am typing in full sententences, i wrote "too" with 2 o's and did not capitalize english. Also while swimming this afternoon (yes i said swimming) I knew that since the ph of the pool were 7.4 (moderate) Today was uber stressful, i had to quit typing this blog for like 20 minutes while my father took an hilary clinton aproach (not quiting looking for jobs out of state). attention to LAMA, i have an idea, we each ask someone a question that they have to answer in their blog...so laura...what is your favourite disney movie and why?? cant wait to get your answer!

Seriously you have no idea how stressed out i am. when i get home from school i usually bury my head in my pillow and pretend i don't have 100 million things to do like study for finals, not fail all my classes, finish a 960 page book and not thow up from all the stress. I do have an escape though, i go up in the tree house with my ipod and notepad and work on my novella (yes novella it is longer than a short story but shorter than a novel) Most of the characters are based off of people i know...laura, if you are reading this you are one of these characers (not a major one but still) Amy is based off of my cousin Amel and Jane. i am serioulsy feeling sick so i think i need to de- stress (watch the office)

Indiana Jones and the meeting of the three bloggers

My dear friends and fellow blogger Laura and Murie and i had quite the epic night. that sounds wrong...... they have blogged about it quite extensively and so if you want to know everything in detail go to their bloggs. In short we...graffiti ed my tree house, gave my dog beau lots of love, put flour on our faces, splattered tomato sauce everywhere and had to take a shower to get in out of our hair...wait no that was just me. We scared local store owners, roasted marshmallow, burned homework, were perverted,filmed a video that will be viewed at the most..10 times (if you are any of those ten people i apologize) and watched Indiana Jones (wait no that was just murie and i). I am uber excited because i am watching LOST tonight (the bestest show ever created) and i am dressing up as the island *woot*, i cant wait but also i can because after tonight i will not be able to watch lost for seven whole months. It is going to be a long seven months. However no i have to go and clean up from last night's cooking excursion before my parents cumbust at me. Farewell and KEEP NERDFIGHTING
